Mechanical Engineer, Researcher
I'm Protap Sarker. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University, where I also work as a Teaching Assistant. My research interests have evolved towards advancing lithium-ion battery technology, electrochemistry, and energy conversion. Previously, I was deeply engaged in experimental fluid mechanics, focusing on fluid-structure interactions, turbulence, and multiphase flow. I also explored projects on enhancing heat transfer in Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. Beyond research, I have actively participated in organizations such as the Notre Dame Nature Study Club, ASME CUET Chapter, and CUET Cad Society.
Research Interests
As a dedicated researcher, I am driven by a passion for innovation and contributing to advancements in science and technology. My current research focuses on lithium-ion batteries, energy conversion, and electrochemistry, with the goal of addressing global energy challenges. I strive to develop sustainable solutions that can help mitigate the energy crisis and pave the way for a greener future. Outside the lab, I love to explore new places and cultures.
